Spring walk through Talybont, 06 April 2024

15 walkers enjoyed the walk through Talybont. The weather was kind to us again as the rain stayed away. The walk took us through country lanes and fields. Coffee was taken when we walked through an orchard just outside Talybont. We crossed fields onto a lane, which took us to Aber Chapel where we had lunch and enjoyed the stunning views up the Glyn Valley towards the reservoir. After lunch, we made our way up to the Bryn Oer tramroad, which was constructed in 1815 after crossing the river Caerfannell. The tramroad took us back to the village, and we walked along the canal tow path, stopping off to veiw the old prison, now a house, until we reached the White Heart pub and enjoyed a refreshing drink before returning to the car park.
