Merthyr Valley Ramblers were eventually, 19 strong today after Paddy Kelly arriving late and having to catch the group! A brilliant walk led by Derek and Cath from Skenfrith Castle. We / (they!) set of along the river Monnow towards Broad Oak, crossing the border into England and onward towards our lunch spot at St Michaels Church in the village of Garway, the school teacher in Derek came out and suitably informed us of the history (very interesting), we were then allowed to proceed to lunch and explore the church for ourselves! St Michael's Church at Garway  …Suitably refreshed we crossed farmland toward Garway Court and back into Wales before skirting Ellis's wood before returning to our start point. A great turnout of friends old and new, the weather was fantastic given the predictions and what most of us had set of in!
