It was a misty start for the twelve intrepid ramblers (including welcome guests Jenny, Leigh, Hester, Simon, John, and Mike) on our near 8 mile walk today. As the mist cleared, we started by picking up the canal by the railway bridge at navigation and followed the locks to the top. It was then road work all the way up to the giant’s bite where we had a cuppa and a good explore around it. We then dropped down to Pont Y Gwaith to cross the river and admire the WW2 pill box. We then took the taff trail back towards Abercynon and stopped by the bench for luncheon. It was then a straight walk to navigation to retrace our steps back to the car park.
