What an adventure we had with the Merthyr Valley Ramblers today! ๐ฒ๐ถโโ๏ธ Starting at Mountain Ash rail station, our group of 15, including our new friends Scott and Faisal, embarked on the โUp and Down The Cynon Valleyโ walk. ๐๏ธ Led by the ever-resourceful John Holloway, we ventured through misty landscapes and conquered flooded lanes with our trusty waterproof boot covers (provided by John who had pre-empted this hazard!). ๐ซ๏ธ๐ขWe paid homage to the legendary runner Guto Nyth Bran, climbed steep ridges, and enjoyed lunch under the Welsh sun. ๐ค๏ธ Our journey was not just about the walk, but also about remembering our dear friend Richard, as we passed the cemetery where he rests. Every step was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the spirit of exploration. ๐ค๐ Thanks to all the ramblers who joined us, making it a day to remember! Ready to join our next trek? Keep your boots ready and your spirits high! ๐ฅพ๐
