Good morning all, as another year draws to a close, our chairman Alan has the following words to say, accompanied by a photo montage of just some of the wonderful adventures we have had in 2023, Happy New Year all 🎊🥳🥂🎆Hello all, as we come to the end of 2023, I've been reflecting on the past twelve months. A year of sadness at the loss of two valued and popular members, Richard and Chris tempered by some of the wonderful walks that we’ve undertaken. It’s great that every year since covid has seen an increase in walks undertaken although our average per walk is less than last year. Like many of us, I personally have had my ups and downs and have been heartened by the warmth and support the group has shown me. I’m hopeful that 2024 will see greater expansion with shorter, mid-week afternoon and evening walks added to our program. I would like to say a special thank-you to our unsung heroes, our committee and walk leaders, who between them ensure the group runs smoothly, whether it be informative mass emails, counting the pennies, organising social events, social media and website maintenance and of course leading us on our wonderful walks, thankyou, your efforts are greatly appreciated 👏 To finish, I’d just like to wish you all a happy and prosperous new year and look forward to seeing you all in the new year.
